What Original Shark Kevin Harrington and Grant Cardone have in common—and how you can benefit

I’m proud to have the original Shark from Shark Tank, Kevin Harrington, coming to 10X GrowthCon in March. My friend Kevin is a great businessman and has lethal sales skills. The guy is literally the inventor of the Infomercial. Ever seen an “As Seen on TV” product? Kevin created that. A guy like him doesn’t get to where he’s at by doing anything “normal”, he had a 10X life before The 10X Rule was ever written. With our 10X bond, Kevin and I have a lot in common, and I wanted to share some of these things with you today to inspire you to dream bigger.

Here are some of my favorite Kevin quotes:

“Being born into poverty does not mean you are condemned to spend the rest of your life in poverty.” — Kevin Harrington

I wasn’t born in poverty, but as my daughter Sabrina has said, the middle class is just rich poor people. Whether you are in poverty or the middle class, you can climb out—I did it, Kevin did it, and thousands of others have done it.

“I’ve been a shark for twenty-five years. This is what I do every day – pick the winners and get rid of the losers.” — Kevin Harrington

This extends to more than just products. You don’t need buddies around you, you need winners. Surround yourself with exceptional thinkers and doers.

“Some people take life as it comes; some grab it by the ears and shake and shake.” — Kevin Harrington

Don’t ever settle for average. You can’t be passive. You must take massive actions. People would ask me, “Why are you still out this late?” “What are you doing calling on a Saturday?” “You never quit, do you?” And even “What are you on?” I’m not on anything, I’m creating the life I want and not playing a victim.

“In the television world, it’s all about eyeballs – fewer eyeballs, fewer sales from infomercials.” — Kevin Harrington

Sales is not just a numbers game, but the more people you can call and get in front of, the more you will sell. Bring energy and enthusiasm to every sale and don’t let any opportunities slip away.

I want you to be at 10XGrowthCon with Kevin and I. The biggest mistake he sees people making are trying to do it all on their own. You need to look to partner with MAJOR people. What better opportunity to network than an event like this? Look for ways to partner with people who have the assets you need.

See you there.

Be great,

GC
