Self-Made Millionaire: Is Your Future Worth the Price of a Coffee?
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said recently* that the new $999 iPhone X is equivalent to buying coffee — and he’s right. Here are his exact words: “I think it’s important to remember that a large number of people pay for the phone by the month… so you could buy an iPhone X for $33 a month. And so if you think about that, that’s a few coffees a week. It’s let’s say less than a coffee a day at one of these nice coffee places.”
Tim Cook is absolutely is right. $1,000 is no money. We’re not in the 19th century anymore, inflation has been eating away at the dollar for decades and $1,000 is just coffee money. If you hit up a Starbucks every day, and look back at your bank transactions at the end of the month, you know what I mean.
If you want to fund your “coffee habit” for 2018, you’ll need to set aside more than $1,000.
Instead of that — or better yet, in addition to that — set aside another $700 to invest in yourself for 2018. By investing in yourself you’ll be able to not just have coffee money, you will have enough income to start making investments in BIG PLAYS like real estate.
If you don’t even have coffee money, here’s a quick tip today to start getting your money right:
Doing anything in life that society considers “normal” will only get you average at best. It’s normal to work from 9 to 5 — and it’s normal to make $52K a year. This is why those who work just 9 to 5 will never be rich. They are taking average actions for their finances.
The rich take massive action. Instead of 20 sales calls the average worker makes, the greats will make 200. Let’s face it, even though there is plenty of money and opportunity floating around on this planet, most people don’t have much success because most people won’t take massive actions to get massive results.
Don’t let coffee money hold you back from what you want and what can improve your life.
So, if you can’t take it from me, take it from Tim Cook. The iPhone X is coffee money, and my The 10X Growth Conference is coffee money.
