You Need A Coach – Jerry Fetta

If you think about it, we’ve all had a coach for basically everything we’re successful at. And for the most part, the areas in life that we aren’t succeeding in we typically never had a coach. This all rests on what we define a coach as being. The root definition of coach actually comes from a stage coach or carriage. A coach is a vehicle (person) that knows exactly where you want to go and can get you there, get you there safely, and get you there on time. In addition to that, there are 3 questions I want you to ask yourself regarding a coach:

1. What should my coach BE? Let me start first by saying, your coach should not be your advisor. You don’t need an opinion. You need results. Everyone has an opinion which makes opinions over-valued, over-saturated, and under-performing. You don’t want opinions. Your coach should be someone who is great at asking questions, calling you out on your stuff, and has results of their own to show you.

2. What should my coach DO? The key here is that your coach should being DOing something. If your coach is not action oriented you don’t have a coach, you have a cheerleader. I believe your coach should help you get very specific on your long-term goals and the short term targets that must be reached to achieve those goals. Your coach should also help you confront your current situation, get organized, and create a logical plan on which to base your actions. Your coach should also provide you with correct information so you can achieve self mastery. Growing your network is something your coach should also be focused on. Lastly, I’d add that your coach should provide accountability. Accountability literally comes from “account” which refers to numbers. You should have an action step and a metric that you’re responsible for achieving that you report back to your coach.

3. What should my coach HAVE? Your coach should have results. They need to have been where you are going. Your coach should have a proven system. If something works, a coach should be able to duplicate it 100% of the time. If this isn’t the case, you don’t have a coach you have a magician. Your coach should have a powerful network. When you work with a coach, a big part of what you are paying for is their network. The biggest thing to realize is that you will have very similar to what your coach has if you choose to follow their plan. You should ask yourself “Do I want what they have?”

If a coach meets these criteria, you must also look at what you’re bringing to the table. You must be obsessed. What I mean by this is that you need to know your goals, have a glimpse of your potential, and have a relentless mindset about achieving it. You must do whatever it takes. Much of your journey to success isn’t going to be pleasant. You must be willing to pay the price mentally, physically, emotionally, and monetarily to achieve your goals. You must have money. A free coach is not a coach you want to hire. I can say from first hand experience anything that’s free is usually not worth having. Be ready to pay a good coach. You’re investing in yourself and you don’t want to be “frugal” about it.

If you’re interested in having a Wealth Coach, I’d like to personally interview for the position. I believe everyone has the right to live a life by design. But most people don’t because they are too busy doing a 40 years to life sentence of trading their time for money just to live paycheck to paycheck. Time must be traded for money. It doesn’t mean it needs to be your time or your money. I help my clients build wealth, so they can own their potential, and live a life by design. My average client sees a 30% increase in income, a guaranteed increase in their savings rate, and secures 8-12% fixed annual returns on their investments in the 1st 90 days of working with me. Click here to interview me to be your Wealth Coach.
