Does Financial Freedom Come At the Cost of Financial Security?
Life is better when we are secure. That’s a statement we can agree on right from the get go. Security means things are taken care. It means that we aren’t worrying about things constantly and we can actually enjoy life and the people and things around us. That would mean that a lack of security would actually equate to a lack of enjoyment. We cannot say we are truly enjoying things when we are worried about them. My goal is to provide you with security; the kind of security that allows you to not worry about finances. In fact, in this article, I will make the case that freedom and security are the exact same thing.
Freedom. When I think of freedom, I think of William Wallace. I think of the revolutionaries that made this great country what it is. In fact, I am a revolutionary. I have a streak in me that defies authority and likes to march to my own beat. Why? Because I can. That’s what freedom is. Doing what you desire because you can. Many of us consider the fight that is required to win freedom and confuse the fight itself with the actual freedom. Do not make this mistake. Freedom is the result. The fight is the price that must be paid in many cases. The objection I get from those when I talk to them about financial freedom is typically something like “yea…but I have a family”, or “my job wouldn’t allow for me to do that”, or “I knew someone who did that and all they ever did was work”. The fight for freedom doesn’t have to look like that. What if you could get the right information, get a plan in place, and be able to win your freedom back with your brains and your creativity rather than by sacrificing.
Security. When I think secure I think “safe”. Ironically, when I look “secure” up, at it’s root the word literally means without care. We have been pitched the idea that security means we wait on the sidelines and stay away from the risks. We have been taught security means playing it safe. Again, this is the same mistake made with freedom. We are confusing the how with the what. What do you think of when you actually ask yourself what security means? Doesn’t it mean you live life without care? You don’t worry about how much money you have, you don’t worry about your family getting sick and not being able to handle it, and you don’t worry about whether or not you will make it. That is security. Living life without care.
Wealth. Have you ever had trouble breathing? Maybe you stayed underwater too long or you had breathing problems. Its a different world when you’re concerned about your oxygen intake isn’t it. That is how many of us operate with money. We don’t have enough of it so we have to care about it a lot. We worry about expenses, we worry about taking too much time off, and we worry about earning it. What if you didn’t have to care? Not because money doesn’t matter, but because you had such an abundance that it couldn’t be destroyed? That is security. That is freedom. That is wealth. Wealth is the ability to treat money like oxygen. When you need more you get more. When you want to get rid of it, you do. It’s always there. Freedom is security. Security is wealth. Wealth only happens when we make money, keep it, and multiply it. It doesn’t have to mean we don’t see our families, or we are unhappy. In fact, my experience is just the opposite. I see my wife 18 hours a day because we choose to make money together. I am happier than ever because I know I am doing something great.
You want freedom and security and the path to those things is wealth. Increase your income, save as much of it as possible, and invest it into income producing assets. Repeat that process over and over. If you stay focused you can break through the ceiling of financial freedom in 10 years or less. I help people do this. I design a formula custom for your life that will allow you to treat money like oxygen in 10 years or less. To do this, you need the right information. I am offering you a free webinar providing that information. Click here to access it!
