A bunch of young entrepreneurs are in studio today for this episode of Young Hustlers as Jarrod Glandt talks about what you can do to heat up the cold call.

Why Cold Call? Because you don’t want to be a victim and wait around for business. Jarrod gives the 3 P’s of the Cold Call:

1. Prepare: The more prepared you are the more confident you are. You need to have a script. You need to know what you will say when you get an objection.

2. Practice: Practice makes perfect. If you aren’t sharpening your phone skills you will be getting hung up on! Role play every day.

3. Process: We have a 4-step process for cold calling. You need an Intro, a reason for calling and a big claim, qualify the person, and lock the apt.

Why do you need to cold call? It is cost effective. Not everyone has a big ad budget. All you need for cold calling is energy and creativity. It puts you in control because you are taking action, not waiting. Master the Cold Call has just been released on Cardone University!

    MackenzieUK Great question. Everyone needs training, great to see you looking for more at a young age. Have you read or listened to any of Grant’s books? Right now they are having a CRAZY sale on their site, especially on their book MP3s. I recommend listening to his books and of course checking out the Youtube videos and the shows here on GCTV. Here’s the link http://www.grantcardone.com/sale/

    Nice show, really good stuff!

    I have a question about getting referrals from existing and past clients (as explained in “If you’re not first, you’re last”). Is there a way ask for referrals from prospects? Let’s say I booked a meeting on monday at 9, is there a way for me to ask something like “Perfect, I’ll see you on Monday at 9 but before I hang up, who do you know that you think would be interested in the services I am offering”, or is this weird as they have not decided whether or not me and my services are legit?

    Alternatively, if it’s a big company: “Perfect, I’ll see you on Monday at 9 but before I hang up, If you know other department managers that would be interested in hearing about the services I am offering, please do invite them to the meeting on monday”.

    Thoughts?

    //Thanks from Sweden!
