Every Friday at 12 PM EST Grant Cardone, New York Times bestselling author and top sales trainer, gives you insights and advice to help you escape the middle class and achieve true freedom in business, career, and finance. He shows you how to get your game so tight, that you’re always right. Each week I teach you how to get your finances straight, get your life successful every day in every way.

Grant’s real and raw in-your-face approach serves as a wake-up call for anyone who has given up on the hustle and become complacent. The Cardone Zone is like no other business show on the air.

Watch one episode and you’ll be hooked.

Today Grant talks about “How to Handle an Interview” and “How to Control an Audience”.

It’s a beautiful Friday. TGIF = Thank God I’m Free. It’s more important to be free than what day of the week it is.

3 Things to Handle an Interview:
1. Know your audience
2. Decide to be friendly or antagonistic
3. Decide where you have altitude

Example 1: Periscope Summit Roundtable (Friendly)
Example 2: HuffPost Live (Antagonist)
Example 3: Fox Business (Maximize)

Take control of the interview. It’s not about the host. It’s not about the other people that might be there. It’s about you and you must control the situation.

Donald Trump knows how to play the antagonistic card. It’s fresh and new. Everyone is paying attention to him because his approach isn’t boring.

  • How do I get interviews for my new podcast from big names?

  • Ebong Eka

I write for huffpost, ant others. I also do Fox News, CNN, MSNBC etc.

You have to come with what YOU WANT TO SAY regardless of what they ask!! get the guests or host riled up..

  • Ebong Eka

Did a live interview on MSNBC and in my ear, 10 seconds to air, they asked me to talk about something else. I said, “whatever
you want guys, I’m here to dominiate!”

  • Becky Farias

@Ebong Eka awesome , awesome point!

  • GabrielBarrandeguy

  • MarroneElderLaw

#interview : …so true i just did an interview for new job yesterday and i spent more time talking about what i experienced at the LAST company rather than asking probing questions about what this new company can do for me and or how i can make more money….

  • This show came just in time, I’m starting interviews in the next couple weeks. Thanks GC

  • ejjayson

People waste more then the moment they waste their life talking about getting ready…. no man b ready always

  • WHEN YOU’RE SO COMMITTED TO WHAT YOU DO AND YOU’VE TRAINED AND PRACTICED YOUR WORK TO A LEVEL OF SUCCESS, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO SPEAK ON IT THROUGH WHATEVER YOU’RE ASKED. ALSO PRACTICE ON INTERVIEWS MAKES PERFECT.

  • ejjayson

    Young hustler in the house

  • For real!! Interviews, panels are not Kumbayah circles. There will always be someone ruling the space..and if it ain’t you, got to make a decision to step up or fall out.
Thanks for making those 3 points. I’m sure some of us have been doing this but never been able to put a finger on the actions like you did.

p.s.Ain’t first, you’re last!! GC, much love!!!
